Mission Statement: "Empowering Healthcare professionals and Women through establishing a personalized Self/Other Care Toolbox."
"PROVIDING COACHING:
I found the coaching format as a simple way to help motivated clients hone in on their key challenge, foster a focus of change through positive, action oriented “change strategies” in alignment with their goal(s). I also brought in a shortened version of a Vision Word i.e. what they truly want to be experiencing and embracing, to keep as a simplified focus for change. Overall the equation I shared with clients was a clear way of creating change ie (Intention + Attention + Practiced Action = Change). My blend of personalized tools (change strategies) upon each review session, was to look at what successes occurred and what might have shown up in a saboteur form that created some blocks or barriers to stepping into their goal. From this data I was able to help them bring more clarity to the next set of change strategies in action to bring in between sessions and “gather data” of effectiveness or what might need to be adjusted. Another aspect I fostered was to encourage them to embody the tools so that it was more readily available. For example, one client’s challenge was “juggling too many plates” ie overdoing/giving for family members and putting herself low on priority list to take care of herself. So she was able to bring a simple movement of juggling into embodying what she really wanted ie being more grounded, centered and putting herself in the mix of self care.
I felt alive and inspired through this simple coaching format and I could see in their eyes/actions they too felt more inspired as changes were happening.
RECEIVING COACHING:
I found being on the receiving end of coaching to be extremely helpful as I picked a point of focus on a relationship topic that I have struggled with for years. My coach helped me to get more clarity on what *I* actually needed in a simple question format that I was able to practice. It fostered me checking in with myself first and what I truly needed/wanted before attending to relationship needs/wants. I found my coach listened to what words and images resonated with me, i.e. bringing “curiosity” to notice before engaging in action and then to collect data daily on the impact of actions. Overall my goal was achieved and we set up ways to foster sustainability of change. "
My other coaching experience related to creating more confidence in the set up of my coaching paperwork, business aspect, and how to be a great coach, which was very helpful. I was able to hear guidance and put it into action effectively.
COACHING PLANS:
I am excited to bring all the tools you outlined in your courses with more comfort and ease to individuals, groups, and organizations empowering healthcare professionals and women to establish Self-Other Care Toolboxes which has been a passion of mine for many years. Check out our website. Thanks Lyn!" *********************
